IS THE CENTER SAFE AND LEGAL Vibha - The Family Hospital is a safe and legal center for Abortion. The center is the best possible medically equipped medical and surgical abortion center with a team of professional and experienced doctors and team of trained nurses and support staff. The center is recognised by the Govenment of India as a center approved to carry out first and second trimester abortion procedures. ARE THE DOCTORS QUALIFIED OBGYN. Yes - The doctors are qualified post graduate doctors with all certification in place. Moreover, they are experienced to carry out all OBGYN related medical and surgical procedures. We empanel doctors only with atleast 5 years experience after their post graduate studies with plenty of experience in gynaecological procedures and good reputation. Also they are excellent human beings and understand and empathize with you. IS ABORTION CONFIDENTIAL The abortion process at Vibha - The Family Hospital is very confidential. All our records are placed in a secured zone with no access except to our trusted staff. We have a no of celebrities and well known female personalities from all walks of life coming for the procedure. We ensure complete privacy and this is our USP which makes our center the preferred center for most of the women. DO YOU TAKE CARE OF THE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS. Yes- we have a travel department who are very efficient to take care of all your travel needs. They can book your tickets from your home country to India, your airport pickup from Airport to our center and airport drop for your travel back home. They can take care of your hotel accomodations in case you need to stay after your treatment. Or they can plan a great holiday for you! AND THE VISA. Yes, the travel people can help with the visa formalities. They can make a hotel booking so that you can apply for a tourist visa or issue a letter so that a medical visa can be arranged for you. Moreover all guidance about travel or visa related issues can be taken care by us. HOW LONG DO I STAY IN INDIA A Common question to plan your travel to India. If you are planning to have a Medical abortion, a short trip of a few hours to Mumbai is good enough. If you are planning a surgical abortion, plan a 2 day stay in Mumbai. The day you arrive, we welcome you. All routine preop investigations are done to assess your health, a Ultrasonography is done to assess your gestation period and consultation is planned for you. The procedure is done the same day. You recover and rest the following day and fly back the evening back home. For Second trimester abortion, you may need to stay for 3 days or longer as per your pregnancy period and individual response to the medications and we recommend an open return ticket for you. If you are planning a family planning procedure like a Tubal ligation, add on a day for your stay before you safely fly back home. SHOULD I BRING MY FRIEND OR PARTNER WITH ME You are encouraged to bring in a friend or partner for moral support and to take care of you after the procedure. It is not an absolute neccisity for we have a number of single women travelling to Mumbai and getting the procedure done and flying back home. HOW DO I COME PREPARE FOR THE PROCEDURE Foremost, come calm and relax to our center. Avoid alcohol or drugs atleast 48 hours before the procedure. Stop aspirin atleast 48 hours before the procedure. Wear comfortable clothes and pack in personal items. After landing at Mumbai, keep yourself fasting - NIL BY MOUTH - for the blood tests and procedure. WHAT DO I EXPECT AT THE CENTER We welcome you to our center. We are open 24/7 all days of the week. You are taken to your room booked for you. A Nurse will complete the formalities of admission, payment and proceed for the blood tests and pregnancy test if needed. An Ultrasound will be scheduled for you. Once we have your preliminary reports, our doctor will meet you for the consultation and answer all your questions before we proceed for the procedure. IS IT PAINFUL YES - the procedure is very very painful. But we do it under short General anasthesia and there is no pain experienced during Dilatation and suction evacuation procedure done for First trimester abortion. The second trimester abortion procedure is like a mini labour so once the process of abortion starts, you will experience pain and discomfort including bleeding till the abortion is completed. In case of Medical abortion, you will experience pain during the process of abortion after the second dose of medications similar to experiencing the pain of heavy menstrual bleed. This shows that the medications taken by you are acting and the process of abortion would be successful. WHAT ABOUT AFTER ABORTION You need to take the medications recommended by us for you. Your menses after the abortion can be a bit early or come later and may be a bit heavy - but it will normalise after the first menses. You need to use some form of contraception for the process of ovulation resumes after the abortion. To avoid infections - for 2 weeks
DO YOU PROVIDE POST ABORTION COUNSELLING AND ADVISE ABOUT CONTRACEPTION YES- We do provide Counselling to selected women and advise to use Contraceptives to prevent pregnancy in future. |
